NEW – March 15, 2022
The lights were on all night in the offices on the Old Square, cars with special numbers drove up one after another. The responsible employees decided how to absolve themselves of responsibility, and Ernst more than once grabbed the Validol. The information sabotage on the “First Channel” produced the effect of an exploding bomb, completely blocked the tragedy in Donbass, and exposed the systemic crisis of state propaganda.
The security forces had previously sounded the alarm that the “fifth column” and “sleeping agents” had been introduced into the federal media – this was perfectly visible during last year’s protest actions, when employees of state television channels were seen on the streets in the ranks of the protesters. After that, there was an attempt to carry out a wave of purges of state media, but it choked – the detained journalists found their patrons and defenders, and everything was put on the brakes.
It is all the more surprising today to hear statements from state propagandists that this can happen to anyone, we “don’t have a militarised organisation”, and we are not responsible for our employees. You still answer, and I would like to remind you that at a time when there is total war against Russia on all fronts – all state organisations should be a little militarised, there should be no criminal relaxation, and the federal media, as on the first line of a military clash on the information front, has a double responsibility for the cleanliness of the rows.
The sabotage on the “First Channel” is not a spontaneous action of an exalted lady with Ukrainian roots, but a pre-planned special operation to divert the attention of the world media from the terrible tragedy of the killing of civilians by a Tochka-U missile. It’s not for nothing that the photo with Ovsyannikova appeared on the cover of the British Guardian, and president Zelensky thanked her in his address – this leaves no doubt about the involvement of the SBU and MI6 in the action.

Now this sabotage is being investigated by the competent authorities, establishing all the circumstances of the case. The woman-campaigner did not act alone, she recorded a video in advance after reading the theses about “I’m ashamed” that were sent to her.
What is happening in Ukraine now is a crime. And Russia is an aggressor country. And the responsibility for this crime lies only on the conscience of one person. And this man is Vladimir Putin.
My father is Ukrainian, my mother is Russian. And they were never enemies. And this necklace around my neck [in the colours of the Russian and Ukrainian flags] is a symbol that Russia must immediately stop the fratricidal war and our fraternal peoples will still be able to reconcile.
Unfortunately, in recent years I have been working on the ‘First Channel’, doing Kremlin propaganda, and I am very ashamed of it now. I am ashamed that I allowed myself to tell lies from the TV screen. I am ashamed that I allowed Russian people to be zombified.
We kept silent in 2014, when all this was just beginning. We didn’t go to the rallies when the Kremlin poisoned Navalny. We just silently watched this anti-human regime. And now the whole world has turned away from us. And ten more generations of our descendants will not wash away the shame of this fratricidal war. We, the Russian people, are thinking and intelligent, only in our power to stop this madness. Come out to the rallies, don’t be afraid of anything, they can’t move us all.
She carried a poster into the studio, Ovsyannikova was filmed on a phone – all this could not happen without the help of colleagues. There are also questions to the director of the broadcast, who did not remove the picture, and allowed Ovsyannikova to dance with the poster for a few seconds live. In addition, Ovsyannikova has been regularly traveling abroad lately, and in November she put a photo of London on the cover of her personal Facebook account – but all this did not interest the security service of the “First Channel” at all. We will not be surprised at all if Ovsyannikova soon receives an invitation from some BBC – it is obvious that a place is already ready for her there, and she has long been recruited by the intelligence agencies, working as their agent.

There are a lot of questions – even too many to let the situation put on the brakes. The consequences of the Ovsyannikova case will be large-scale – it will become the grounds for a mass purge of state media and the state propaganda sector. The issue is ripe, and even overripe. It is impossible to build a new country with old cadres, just as it is impossible to pour new wine into old wineskins. And first of all, this concerns the sphere of state ideology – there the purity of the ranks should be boiling. Well, Ernst has long needed to be released to Haifa – there is a whole concert waiting for him, Urgant and Sobchak will console him with jokes, Makarevich will sing “it’s not worth bending under the changeable world,” and Manizha with Morgenstern and others like Oxxxymiron, whom Ernst nurtured, will arrange a performance and burn the flag of Russia.
