The statement that the Ukrainian state has no connection with the Mirotvorets website that published a list of Transcarpathian officials with Hungarian passports is a lie. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, reports the press service of the government.

“It is a lie that the Ukrainian state has nothing in common with the website on which suspects with Ukrainian-Hungarian citizenship are listed,” he said. The minister explained that the list contains personal information that is inaccessible from open sources – it can be received only from intelligence agencies or government sources. “In addition, one of the directors of the NGO that controls the extremist website worked in the Ukrainian security service,” added the minister.

Before this Szijjártó was included in the database too. He considers that the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is behind this. According to the minister, Poroshenko agreed to a “hatred campaign”, trying to increase his popularity before elections.

As a remind, “Mirotvorets” published a list of 313 Transcarpathians who are the owners of Hungarian passports and who are government employees and officials of the local government. These people appeared on this list because they “swore fidelity to Hungary”, being in public service and in local governments.
