The Largest Tyre Factory in Ukraine Was Closed

Translated by Ollie Richardson

Shareholders of the “Rosava” tyre factory (Private Joint Stock Company) in Bila Tserkva in the Kiev region made the decision to liquidate the enterprise.

The decision to voluntarily liquidate the company was made during a common shareholder meeting that took place on April 30th, reports “UNIAN” with reference to the message of the enterprise in the system of information disclosure.

Why such a decision was made wasn’t explained.

It is specified that the “Rosava” plant, which has worked since 1972, is the largest producer of car tyres in Ukraine. The enterprise offers more than 200 standard sizes of tyres for cars, commercial transport, and agricultural machinery. Half of its products were sold inside the country, and the other half were exported.

“Rosava” is controlled by the non-factional deputy of the Verkhovna Rada and businessman Konstantin Zhevago. In 2017 the losses of the company grew by 73.8% to 717.8 million hryvnia.
