The former leading of the Odessa branch of “Right Sector” Sergey Sternenko, who on the evening on May 24th killed a guy and inflicted a knife wound on his friend, threatened the inhabitants of Odessa with a repetition of the tragedy that happened on May 2nd, 2014 in the House of Trade Unions.
As the radical stated on the air of the Mejlis TV channel “ATR”, after the Odessa massacre there were more Ukrainian nationalists in the city [this is nonsense; if anything more people have rejected Ukrainization, as is evidenced by a recent TV poll – ed] who are ready, if necessary, to repeat what happened on May 2nd, 2014.
“Among the inhabitants of Odessa the vast majority of people, in particular, are active people, they are ready to unite and resist Russian aggression. At the critical moments these people are ready to close their eyes to their own differences of opinion and wrangles and to rise up shoulder to shoulder in defense of the city. We saw this in 2014, and now the number of such people has only increased,” said the “patriot”.
In the same program, commenting on his murder of a man, Sternenko stated that he doesn’t regret the incident as, according to him, it was self-defense.
“Nothing. I defended my life and the life of a girl. I tried to save him, I called an ambulance and, perhaps, the fact that he died is bad because he could’ve testified in court,” noted the street activist.
