The “Opposition Bloc“ party demands the resignation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin in connection with his statement where he said Ukraine won’t resume the water supply to Crimea. This was reported on September 13th by the press services of the party.
“The Minister of Foreign Affairs Klimkin must be brought to responsibility for saying that Crimea should be left without water. The government official who openly calls to violate the rules of international law and obliges to limit Crimean’s access to water must be dismissed and condemned for genocide,” it is said in the statement.
In addition, the “Opposition Bloc” demanded to resume the supply of fresh water to the peninsula. “At this conjuncture we demand from the present authorities to stop blocking of the supply of fresh water to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. We consider that such a policy is genocide, violates the rights of Crimeans, and at the same time contradicts the problems of ensuring the national security of Ukraine,” emphasised the party.
The day prior Klimkin said that “water will never flow to an occupied territory under a contract where it is written ‘Crimea, Russia'”.
