During 2018 employees of the Security Service of Ukraine blocked access to more than 300 websites that “were used by Russia for conducting hybrid war against Ukraine”. This was reported on Saturday, December 22, by the press service of the SBU.

It is noted that the staff of the SBU blocked access to more than 300 websites that were used for conducting hybrid war against Ukraine and also international criminal groups for “distributing destructive information content”.

In addition, during 2018 law enforcement bodies took measures concerning 220 administrators of social network groups that “spread propaganda materials” online. Thus, the SBU did not allow the commission of crimes that fall under the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely Article 109 (actions aimed at violently changing or overthrowing the constitutional system or capturing the government), Article 110 (infringing on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine), and Article 258-3 (creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organisation).
