The SBU Forces Ukrainian Sailors to Write Fake Complaints Against Russian Border Guards

The Ukrainian security officers force the captains of merchant ships in Berdyansk and Mariupol passing through the Kerch Strait to write complaints to international instances about the actions of Russian border guards.

This was stated by the social activist Gennady Sivak in comment to Politnavigator.

According to him, there are no actual victims of the actions of Russian border guards, who have strengthened security measures in the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait. Thus, representatives of Ukrainian law enforcement bodies received the order to organise fake complaints.

“SBU employees went specifically to Berdyansk and Mariupol and looked for the captains of ships who would agree to write a complaint about the actions of the Russian border guards. It turns out that there are no actual victims of the actions of the Russian border guards, and also it becomes impossible to exaggerate this topic further. There is need for actual people who will write a complaint, because in reality there are no victims. Except official media agencies and the statements of politicians, they couldn’t present any substantial proof,” said Sivak.

Earlier the former officer of the General Staff of the UAF Oleg Zhdanov said that “judging by the fact that there are no complaints from shipowners about violations of international maritime law, it means Russia works within the framework of international treaties”.

Besides this, the expert considered that Ukraine lost the Sea of Azov since the moment that Russia started to build the Crimean Bridge in the Kerch Strait.
