Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine initiated criminal proceedings concerning the “Korrespondent” Kiev-based news agency.

As the human rights group “Uspishna Varta” reported on the social network Facebook, the accusations made by the SBU against the website arose after it organised a live broadcast of the military parade in the part of Donetsk not controlled by Kiev.

“The SBU decided that the fact of broadcasting is a sufficient basis for a criminal case under Part 2 of Article No. 436-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — propaganda of the communist totalitarian regime by means of mass media,” it is said in the statement.
