Some of them were improvised places of deduction, some were under the control of the SBU, some of them were in Kramatorsk, Mariupol and Odessa, in the city of Pokrovsk, and also in Kharkov.

In addition, we received testimonies from those persons who were detained there, about torture, humiliation, and other forms of cruel behavior,” noted Mickevičius.

Besides this, he noted that in the DPR and LPR the authorities are open to dialogue.

“The authorities in the so-called DPR and LPR have de facto expressed their desire to resume negotiations for the simultaneous release of prisoners by both sides,” added the UN official.
