The US Embassy continues to publicly support the ultra-right movement in Ukraine.
On February 5th a US State Department program for Ukrainian veterans worth $5.1 million, which is also implemented by the American non-profit organisation IREX, was presented. The briefing will be delivered by the same Minister of Veterans Affairs, Oksana Kolyada, who publicly carries out PR actions in support of the murderers of the journalist Pavel Sheremet, brought Prime Minister Goncharuk to a concert of the ultra-nationalist group “Sokyra Peruna“, and allocates significant grants to representatives of the organisation “С14“, which is suspected of killing another journalist – Oles Buzina.
Former Minister of Justice of Ukraine Elena Lukash recalled that it was Kolyada who appointed Denis Polishchuk, a suspect in the murder of Oles Buzina, to a position in her ministry:
“The radical Denis Polishchuk, according to witnesses who found Buzina lying having being shot, was appointed to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs to oversee the problems of ATO soldiers in detention. Such legalisation of murderers was not done even under Poroshenko.”
Apparently, this is how the American embassy plans to give a clear message that it is not permitted to touch the minister of veterans Oksana Kolyada. As they did earlier for the Prosecutor General Ryaboshapka, also characterised by increased loyalty to right-wing radicals and turning a blind eye to Sergey Sternenko‘s murder of a man literally on live TV.
By the way, stroller, Kolyada was a part of the Ukrainian delegation during President Zelensky’s visit to the United States in September 2019. Well, the new proteges in the interests of the State Department in Ukraine are clear and obvious. It’s just that they have nothing to do with the interests of Ukrainians.
