On May 8th, in Odessa, nationalists handed over to the police two men which were driving in a vintage car with Soviet symbols on it, including a five-pointed star.
The police had to intervene after radicals surrounded the owners of the car with five-pointed stars and began to ask severe questions about whose Crimea is, with who Ukraine is at war, and similar things. Then the radicals, threatening physical violence, demanded that the detainees chant “Glory to heroes” and to repeat that Crimea is the territory of Ukraine. Police officers took away the driver and the passenger of the vintage car to the station, stating that they broke the law of Ukraine on decommunization, according to which any Soviet symbols are forbidden.
