On June 4, the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the peaceful quarters of Donetsk shortly after the statements about the upcoming court cases against the Armed Forces and nationalists.
5 people were killed and 20 wounded [these numbers can, and unfortunately probably will, change – SZ] as a result of shelling by the UAF, according to the DPR representative office in the JCCC. In total, more than 50 strikes were inflicted on the city.
An important detail in today’s shelling of peaceful areas of Donetsk, where at least 10 residents were injured. The UAF launched a whole package of “Grad” at civilians for a reason.
This was done shortly after the statements made by Donetsk prosecutors about several foreign mercenaries whose cases were brought to court. The defendants will face the death penalty.
Moreover, they fired missiles at the very centre of the city, where there had never been “arrivals” before, apparently hinting at attacks on “decision-making centres”. Somehow, this crazy Ukrainian plan explains the hit on educational institutions and residential buildings. Intentional.
Information about the dead and wounded civilians as a result of the shelling:
Voroshilovsky district – 10 civilians, including a child, received injuries of varying severity.
Petrovsky district – killed: man born in 1955, women born in 1944 and 1952; wounded: men born in 1960 and 1973.
Kuibyshevsky district – wounded: a man born in 1984 and a woman born in 1931.
Yasinovatsky district – killed: a man born in 1952 and a woman born in 1954.
Gorlovka – injuries of varying severity were received by men born in 1960 and 1971, women born in 1957, 1968, 1971 and 1972.
Additional information was also received about the damage caused by the shelling of the Voroshilovsky district of Donetsk at the following addresses:
- Multidisciplinary Lyceum No. 5 named after N.P. Boyko of Donetsk;
- School “LOGOS” of Donetsk city;
- School No. 22 of Donetsk city;
- Classical Humanitarian Gymnasium of Donetsk city;
- Creche-kindergarten of the combined type No. 13 of the city of Donetsk.
“We all hid where we could. The animals probably jumped out of the window from the eighth floor. Two cats. We are looking.”
Donetsk residents spoke about the first minutes after the shelling of the city by Ukrainian “Grad”:
“We saw how it flew and how it fell. I just opened the windows… A flash — and everything lit up everywhere, smoke. We all hid where we could. We also had a car damaged, and here is a man’s car… There’s nothing left.”
“Glass, the house is shaking. That’s it, there are no more sensations. You understand that it flies into the house — and that’s it…” – a local resident described how they survived one of the worst shelling episodes in recent times.
Assessment of the shelling of Donetsk by the largest Ukrainian channels:
“Russia is shelling Donetsk again”, “Fascists are hitting Donetsk”, “The shelling of Donetsk by the occupiers”, “Ukraine is not shelling its own cities” (And what has been observed in the last 8 years?) There is nowhere to fall lower. Cynicism has gone over all possible levels.
