Ukraine Resumed Its Shelling of the DPR Village of Kominternovo

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have violated the ceasefire 14 times in the past 24 hours, firing 113 rounds of ammunition on the front-line areas of the DPR. This was reported on August 17th by the Head of the Representative Office of the Republic in the Joint Center for Monitoring and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime Ruslan Yakubov.

“During the past day the total number of violations committed by the armed formations of Ukraine amounted to 14 times,” said Yakubov. “The total number of used ammunition – 113 units”.

The JCCC added that the following settlements came under the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: the village of Aleksandrovka on the outskirts of Donetsk, the Gorlovka area villages of Zaitsevo, Golmovsky, and Dolomitny, as well as the villages of Leninsky, Kominternovo, and Sakhanka in the south of the DPR.

82 and 120 mm mortars, rocket-propelled grenades and small arms, including large-calibre ones, were used in the attacks. The quantity of ammunition fired with a calibre of up to 12.7 mm is not included in the total statistics on the quantity of ammunition in the daily summary.

On August 5th, as a result of shelling carried out by the armed groups of Ukraine against the village of Kominternovo, 3 house buildings caught fire. The forces of the DPR militia and firefighters managed to put out the fire.
