Ukraine’s Police Are Investigating “Anti-Ukrainian” Children’s Drawings Promoting Peace With Russia

Law enforcement bodies will carry out an inspection of drawings made at the “World Peace” children’s competition in one of the villages in the Poltava region, a part of the works of which was devoted to friendship between Russia and Ukraine. This was reported by the political scientist Denis Gorokhovsky on September 27th on Facebook.

According to the “Status Quo” publication, the incident happened in one of the educational institutions in the Chutovsky district.

Gorokhovsky claims that proceedings began after local veterans of the so-called anti-terrorist operation in Donbass complained. They weren’t happy about drawings featuring the flags of Ukraine and Russia with the word “peace” between them.

“The police reacted more or less adequately. The adviser to the head of the regional National Police said the following: ‘What can the children be charged with? We will pass on the information to the appropriate services so that they can assess whether there are any anti-Ukrainian sentiments in this’,” wrote the political scientist.

In the post’s comments section social network users didn’t hide their indignation.

“And Ukrainian ATO militants now dictate to everyone how to live?”, “And is it possible to charge adults for such a drawing?”, “Children are smarter than adults”, “Well what can be said – fairytale people live in a fairyland-circus country”
