Aleksandr Vilkul

Imagine a situation on the contrary: the Prime Minister of France buys helicopters from the Ukrainian “Motor-Sich” instead of the French “Airbus”
Would he remain at his post? What our authorities [in Kiev – ed] do is more than deception.

We are being frightened with a default and they want to raise gas prices by 1.5-2 times for the sake of €1 billion of IMF credit. At the same time they find an opportunity to buy helicopters in France for €555 millionOn June 7th such a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers was supported by the coalition in the Verkhovna Rada.

There was a similar situation half a year ago when instead of buying trams from the Lvov plant, they bought them for 1.8 million hryvnia in Poland. They pay the salaries of foreign workers using the money from the budget (our taxes!)!

– – – – – –

I consider that this is a crime.

I DEMAND THAT THE MONEY IS USED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF DOMESTIC INDUSTRY, AND I SUBMITTED THE RELEVANT BILLS TO PARLIAMENT FOR THIS PURPOSE.

Half a billion euros would breathe new life into Zaporizhia and the “Motor Sich” plant that is there. Moreover, it would give work and a salary to thousands of workers at the enterprises of Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, and other cities where components for aviation equipment are made. But the Cabinet of Ministers and the coalition in the Rada just spit on the people.

Moreover, the country is also being made dependent on the long-term service of these French helicopters, and this is dozens, if not hundreds of millions more euros from the State budget. Changing this government at the elections is a condition of survival for the country and the people.
