Ukrainian Deputy Dmitry Linko: IKEA Will Make a Threefold Profit From Selling Illegally Chopped Down Ukrainian Wood

“Western partners” continue to regard Ukraine as only its raw materials appendage. This was stated on the air of the “NewsOne” TV channel by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Linko from the “Radical Party” of Oleg Lyashko.

Increasing gas prices is an obvious loss of competitiveness, which is also favourable to our ‘western partners’, who got used to seeing Ukraine as a raw appendage,” recognised the people’s deputy.

“This is visible in everything, including in the round timber that is just bought in an illicit way, and in exchange we receive an IKEA shop that will sell our wood, but in a processed look that is threefold more expensive,” added Dmitry Linko.
