Translated by Ollie Richardson & Angelina Siard

The Chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko is fond of movies with military themes, paying attention to the professional aspects.

“Indeed, my profession obliged me, I do watch movies with military themes. But, unfortunately, not at the cinema – I simply have no time. Thank God there are such moments when I am invited to premieres and I have the opportunity to visit them,” said Muzhenko, adding that action movies are pleasant to him, and some of them are even useful for work.

“When I watch films with military themes, I pay attention to the professional aspects more. Sometimes we put some aspects into practice when training military personnel. These are such aspects that have elements that can be included in military training,” stated the Chief of the General Staff at a premiere of the film “Cyborgs” of Akhtem Seitablayev.

Earlier the chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko stated that Ukraine, in the event of attempting to forcefully return Donbass will lose up to 12,000 servicemen in only 10 days. Losses among civilians will be even more, Muzhenko noted. According to the experience of the ATO in Donbass, for every 2,300 losses of military personnel there are 10,000 civilian deaths.

In turn, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the military losses in the ranks of the UAF since the beginning of conducting the anti-terrorist operation (April, 2014) and until the end of October of the current year were 10,710 servicemen, 2,333 of them being deaths.
