The threat of Russian aggression is possible from the North, West, and the South, said the head of the General staff.

The Chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko declared that the threat of Russian aggression is possible everywhere where there are Russian troops, reports Ukrinform.

“The threat to Ukraine comes from everywhere where there are Russian troops. It is not only from the East. We can expect a blow from the Russian groupings from the North, West, South, and from Crimea, where the Russian Federation concentrated significant offensive capabilities,” said Muzhenko.

According to him, the General Staff really understands these threats of a military nature and calculates the possible scenarios of development of events in the event of a large-scale Russian aggression.

“These scenarios are practiced during exercises, we study mobile and flexible defenses, and focus on the most ‘dangerous’ directions,” he said.

This is the same Viktor Muzhenko who previously stated, in 2015, that no Russian troops had been spotted in Ukraine:
