On December 16th the head of the press service of the leadership of the DPR People’s militia Daniil Bezsonov reported that saboteur and reconnaissance groups of the UAF were detected by the DPR Armed Forces in the Gorlovka direction – five Ukrainian troops were wounded and the others fled.

“Tonight two groups of Ukrainian mountain-reconnaissance agents simultaneously tried to approach our positions near the settlement of Verkhnetoretskoye, in the zone of responsibility of the 92nd brigade, and Svetlodarsk, which is occupied by the 72nd mechanised brigade,” said the head of the press service of the Armed Forces. “Our observers managed to detect the approaching enemy, lure them into a trap, and open fire from small arms forced them to not only abandon their mission, but also to flee in panic”.

According to preliminary information, during the unsuccessful raid five Ukrainian militants from the 130th reconnaissance battalion were wounded, and those who survived ran away from the battlefield, having abandoned the wounded.

Bezsonov also noted that, overall, the enemy’s efforts to explore the positions of the People’s Militia in the vicinity of Gorlovka has increased, including with the use of drones.
