The Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladimir Omelyan wrote on his page on social networks that the ashes of the most famous Ukrainian nationalists must be transported to Kiev and reburied in the capital of Ukraine. In particular, Omelyan noted that first of all Bandera should be reburied, then Shukhevych, Konovalts, Petliura and other figures whose graves are located abroad.

“They have to come back home. Doroshenko, Golovaty, Oles, Bander, Shukhevych, Konovalets, Skoropadsky, Petliura, Vynnychenko. All the hundreds of heroes who lived in Ukraine, and Ukraine is alive thanks to their sacrifice. The last resting place should be Ukrainian earth, in the Ukrainian pantheon, and not the cemeteries of the world,” the minister wrote on his Facebook page.

This statement was made after the incident of vandalism on the grave of the Ukrainian writer Aleksandr Oles in Prague. The president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko tasked diplomats with understanding the incident. At the same time, the head of the Institute of National Memory of Ukraine Vladimir Viatrovich also declared that the graves of Ukrainian nationalists should be transferred to Kiev.
