In the bill on the reintegration of Donbass the concept of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) will be replaced with “Operation on defense of Ukraine” (ODU). This was stated by the Deputy Minister concerning the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons of Ukraine Yury Grimchak in an interview to “Radio Svoboda”.
Thus, answering the host’s question “what terminology is suggested to replace ATO”, Grimchak answered: “Operation on defense of Ukraine”.
He also stressed that the term “war” won’t be used.
“We can call it a war. In fact, then it means we declare war on the Russian Federation. We declare war and we begin to receive everything that the Russian military industrial complex can offer,” reported Grimchak.
Отказ Киева от термина АТО – запоздалое признание,что террористов в ДНР/ЛНР нет. Но как ни назови операцию Киева,это война пр. своего народа

“The rejection of the term ATO is a belated recognition that there are no terrorists in the DPR/LPR. But whatever the operation of Kiev is called, it’s a war against it’s own people.”
