Ukrainian Nationalists Sprayed a Nazi Symbol on a Moscow Patriarchate Temple in Zaporozhye

Unknown persons carried out an arson and profaned the temple in honour of Reverend Alexis Kabaliuk (Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate) in Zaporozhye. This was reported by the head of the clerical office of the Zaporozhye diocese archpriest Gennady Elin on his social network page.

“In the night of February 6th in the city of Zaporozhye unknown persons did an arson and defiled the temple of the Zaporozhye diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in honor of Reverend Alexis Kabaliuk”

wrote the priest, accompanying his post with a photo showing the temple wall covered in a painted SS division emblem

According to him, the police and an operational-investigations group work on the territory of the temple and interview residents from nearby houses.

As was reported by the main department of the National Police in the Zaporozhye region, after this incident law enforcement bodies intiated a criminal case. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated and a search for the malefactors involved in it is being conducted.
