In Ukraine there is outright economic genocide for political motives, which is why some representatives of small and medium-sized businesses transfer their enterprises to the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, where there are better economic conditions. This was stated by the public figure Rostislav Dubovoy on the air of the “112 Ukraine” TV channel.
He reminded that as a result of “irreversible reforms” the cost of electricity increased by 300 times, Ukrainians are overpaying for light and heat by 15 billion hryvnia.
According to the studio guest, all of this money went into the pockets of oligarchs and officials, and the population’s debt for housing and utilities totals nearly 60 billion hryvnia — a new “record” for all the years of independence.
The expert said that at the same time the Lugansk region (the part of the region controlled by Ukraine) pays the highest tariffs to the budget of Ukraine – 30-40% more than all other regions.
“In such a situation they are more likely to join the LDPR: nothing personal, just business. Even now businessmen are taking their enterprises to the neighbouring region or to the territory of the LPR”
reported Dubovoy
He noted that such a policy pursued by the authorities is aimed against the Eastern regions: Donbass is an industrial region and doesn’t want to come back to a Ukraine in crisis, with tariffs for gas that are terrible for metallurgical, chemical, and coal-mining companies, summed up the social activist.
Earlier it was reported that the government raised tariffs for household gas by 22%, and in the spring Ukrainians can expect another increase in prices for utilities — in accordance with the memorandum of the IMF.
