One old aphorism says: “History is an art to forget”, but Ukraine took this phrase too literally, not only having erased its history, but also rewriting it in their own way.

Today, Bandera is the national hero of Ukraine, and the fighters of the UAF can safely speak about the number of the killed militiamen and the most part of the population will perceive it with an approving smile on their face.

The Soviet Union is perceived now as the “invader of Ukraine”, and Kiev doesn’t miss an opportunity to say that it is precisely the USSR that launched World War II, referring to the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.

However Poroshenko and his entourage are silent about the fact that Ukraine was a part of the Soviet Union and bears responsibility for all agreements that were signed during the period from December 30th, 1922, to December 1st, 1991, on an equal basis with other Union Republics. In addition, thanks to the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact Ukraine obtained a number of territories that are still in its structure.

Recently, on the air of the “Channel 5”, which belongs to Petro Poroshenko, the Ukrainian director and the writer Leonid Kanter made a statement where he said that Ukrainian school students must erase the “Soviet period” from their heads, and to study the “feats of cyborgs” from the Donetsk airport and date of UAF battles in the war in Donbass.

According to him, Ukraine must write “new history” that will reflect “only the correct situation in the country”.
