The work of the British journalist in the territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics was the cause.
A huge number of comments and “likes” below them appeared on the page of the Prime Minister of Great Britain Theresa May on “Facebook”. Most of them are written by Ukrainian users and contain calls to punish for criminality or to revoke the citizenship of British journalist Graham Phillips, who since 2013 has covered the events taking place in Ukraine, and in recent years, mainly in Donbass.
An interview of Graham Phillips with the former Ukrainian saboteur Vladimir Zhemchugov was the main cause for such a massive address. The British journalist accused him of lying during the process of exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and the LPR, when Zhemchugov claimed to have hit a landmine when trying to cross the demarcation line in the Lugansk region. Even in the autumn of 2015 he made a confession, recorded on camera, that he was a saboteur and was injured in the detonation of an explosive device that was planted in the territory of the LPR. Neither Theresa May or any other UK official has responded to the messages.
