Nearly 80 miners blocked the international Lvov-Rava Russkaya road in the Lvov region. They demand the repayment of salary arrears. This was reported by the “Ukranews” publication with reference to the representative of the regional department of the National Police of Ukraine.

The miners systematically walked around the crosswalk that goes across the road. According to them, they were not completely paid their salary for September, the debt of which exceeds 20 million hryvnia.

Police officers arrived at the scene of the incident and tried to convince the miners to unblock the road.

At the beginning of November nearly 500 miners blocked the movement of traffic in the center of Lvov and organised a picket at the regional administration. They demanded to repay the debt on earned salaries.

Miners have repeatedly organised rallies in the Ukrainian capital and in other regions because of wage arrears and protested against the intentions of the authorities to close down some mines.
