The former President of Georgia and the former head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili has the right to a lawsuit on the issue of the deprivation of his Ukrainian citizenship. This was stated by the special representative of the US Department of State concerning Ukraine Kurt Volker.

The special representative of the US noted that he in the place of President Poroshenko wouldn’t begin to detain Saakashvili, and would suggest to him to focus on questions of the rule of law and government in the conditions of “Russian aggression”.

The video of the comment of the special representative of the US was posted on the Facebook page of Saakashvili.

“Ukraine is a country with the rule of law. Someone like the former President Saakashvili, has the right to pursue his own case within the Ukrainian courts. I hope the people deescalate the political drama, focus on it as a legal matter, and that Ukraine really strengthens its institutions of democracy, as well as the fight against corruption and economic reforms,” said Volcker.

Notice how Volker doesn’t answer the questions being asked to him. He simply parrots the script that was installed in his firmware about how great Ukraine is, and how aggressive Russia is. He obviously isn’t going to describe how the courts in Ukraine really work – where “guilty because Washington said so” substitutes any actual objective legal procedure. Instead, he tries to imply that Ukraine is just like any other “successful” European project (US vassal), where the economy is “thriving” and “democracy” is the air that is breathed.
