Vladimir Kornilov: The Frontman Of “Okean Elzy” Vakarchuk Can “Replace” Poroshenko as President

The United States of America can consider the Ukrainian rock musician and frontman of the Okean Elzy group Svyatoslav Vakarchuk as the next President of Ukraine. Such a possibility was discussed by experts on the air of the “Time Will Tell” program on Channel One.

The statement of the Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon, who earlier claimed that the US needs a new President of Ukraine who hasn’t dirtied himself concerning relations with the existing [US – ed] authorities, became the reason for the discussion. According to Gordon, two such candidates are now being prepared. They are known not only to the residents of Ukraine, but also to the whole world.

“Nobody knows who this person is, but everyone knows that he sings well. It is possible to go on Twitter and to see how Vakarchuk is dragged around the American offices now. Mr McFaul (Michael), the former ambassador, the ‘best friend’ of Russia, poses everywhere with him. Considering Russian traditions, the ideal candidate must be a woman who sings well. Verka Serduchka could be a good candidate. In all seriousness, the option with Serdyuchka is already trolling, but Vakarchuk is being prepared, it is not a secret,” joked on the air the director of the Center for Eurasian Studies and publicist Vladimir Kornilov

Kornilov also reminded that Vakarchuk was already a Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, but her powers were stopped ahead of schedule.

The Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the V-VII convocations Elena Bondarenko in turn reminded the audience that two years ago Vakarchuk went to the US, where he studied at a university. So there is every reason to claim that he prepares himself for something serious.
