Serbia is discussing the acquisition of the anti-aircraft S-300 missile system and a regimental command post with Russia and Belarus. This was declared by the Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandr Vucic on 16th April.
“There is no agreement with S-300. I mentioned this at negotiations with President Putin, and we talked about it. We talked about this with President Lukashenko,” explained Vucic.
According to him, agreements in this respect weren’t reached yet. However, Russia and Belarus were informed that Serbia needs two S-300 units and a regimental command post. Also, the Prime Minister, in a conversation with journalists, disproved media reports on the alleged sale by Russia of S-300 to Croatia in the 1990’s.
