What Do Navalny’s “Poisoning” and the US Election Have in Common?

There is a lot of symbolism in the last campaign – choose from any of them: Trump’s blocked Twitter feed, the live broadcast of Trump interrupted simultaneously by several TV companies, and their early announcement of President Biden (I just remind you that the voting of electors has not yet been finalised).

And now let’s remember a small detail:

“US President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday prohibiting any transactions with the owner of the TikTok app, ByteDance, and its subsidiaries. The text of the document was distributed by the White House press service. On August 3rd, Trump said that the American corporation Microsoft or another company from the US must conclude a deal to acquire TikTok by September 15th, otherwise the work of the social network on American territory will be prohibited. On July 31st, the president said he plans to ban TikTok in the US.”

Old Donald easily and lawlessly took away a social network from a Chinese company. And he didn’t care about laws, democracy, freedom of speech, the hand of the market. There was just ordinary pressure.

And already in November 2020, he reaped exactly what he sowed. Scandalous practicies, censorship, and no laws. Well, Donald? Did you like it?

As for the comparison with the poisoning of Navalny. We are all entering a new information age, when facts no longer mean anything, everything is decided in the media.

“Navalny was poisoned, repent, he was poisoned.”

“By Novichok? In a bottle? You’re crazy, there would be dozens of corpses!”

“Navalny was poisoned, repent, he was poisoned.”

– “Respond to our request! Where are the results of research!”

“Navalny was poisoned, repent, he was poisoned.”

“Are you deaf or what? Let us interview Navalny and Pevchikh.”

“Navalny was poisoned, repent, he was poisoned.”

Does it remind you of anything?

“You lost 300,000 ballots, the dead voted by the dozens!”

“The election was fair, there were no violations, Biden wins.”

“Here’s a video, the ballots are being filled out by hand!”

“The election was fair, there were no violations, Biden wins.”

“Why did you expel the observers?”

“The election was fair, there were no violations, Biden wins.”

“Stop accepting ballots! More people voted than are registered!”

“The election was fair, there were no violations, Biden wins.”

These are the new standards by which the whole world now lives. A tornado stands over Orwell’s grave, the old man spins in a damp grave.

Confucius had this wish for the enemy: “May you live in interesting times!”. We were definitely lucky with the times.
